Current 4th Ward Councilman Andy Peters decided not to run for re-election - then changed his mind and ran a write-in campaign. Peters won the Republican nomination (45 votes) over challenger Bradley Reddinger (36 votes). Although Peters received 26 votes on the Democratic ticket, he was unable to defeat former Kittanning Borough employee Randy Zellefrow with 33 votes.
