Brackenridge Man Found Dead in South Buffalo Township

Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers announced the discovery of a missing man’s body in South Buffalo Township yesterday.

Donald M. Mastandrea, 33, of Brackenridge -Allegheny County - was found in the woods approximately 200 yards north of his camp site yesterday morning.

Mastandrea was last heard from on January 25 at approximately 6:30 PM. A missing person was issued by Brackenridge Police on January 30. A search party was formed by local police, fire personnel and family.

The subject was found deceased at approximately 11:30AM. Mastandrea was pronounced dead at the scene by Myers.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

The Coroner’s office was assisted at the scene by South Buffalo Police, Freeport Police, South Buffalo VFD, Freeport VFD, Harrison Hills VFD, the Armstrong County Sheriff’s Dept. and Armstrong Co. District Attorney’s Office.

The Boch Funeral Home in Glenshaw will be handling funeral arrangements.
