Worthington Man Accused of Multiple Crimes

A Worthington man is accused by Pennsylvania State Police troopers and the Armstrong County District Attorney of a half-dozen charges - including violating a Protection from Abuse order and criminal mischief - after an incident Saturday morning.

Starting at about 3AM January 21, 38-year-old Jason Anderson is accused of text messaging a third-party in regards to a 42-year-old known female. Anderson then reportedly damaged property at the female’s residence before he was located off of Lairds Crossing Road later that morning.

In regard to Saturday morning’s incident, Anderson is charged with first-degree misdemeanor stalking, third-degree misdemeanor harassment, criminal mischief and summary disorderly conduct.

He will also be charged with indirect criminal contempt for the Protection from Abuse violation.

Anderson was arraigned Sunday morning by District Magisterial Judge Gary DeComo and remanded to the Armstrong County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 for the criminal charges and $100,000 for the PFA violation.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next week.
