Santa waits to welcome visitors this weekend to the Marshall House in Dayton.
The home was the residence of Thomas Hindman Marshall. He was the owner of Dayton’s first business and grandson of the area’s first permanent settler.
The Marshall House is known for its themed holiday traditions. In 2014, the trees were decorated with various types of teddy bears. This year, colorful poinsettias and cookie cutters adorn the rooms, according to local historian Betty Calhoun.
Light refreshments will also be served.
The Marshall House is located at 107 North State Street in Dayton.
