Police Investigating Possible Overnight Assault

from the KP Newsdesk

Kittanning Borough, Ford City Borough and Pennsylvania State Police units responded to the 200 block of North Grant Avenue in Kittanning early this morning for a reported assault with a knife.

Police found the unknown victim along the Armstrong Rails to Trails near Robinson Street and the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home.

Emergency medical responders “expedited” to the scene for an alleged-upper arm wound and transported the victim to ACMH in East Franklin Township before transport to another regional hospital.

Police vehicles circled the area for the alleged actor while another domestic incident was reported a few minutes later also on North Grant Avenue a few blocks away.

Kittanning Borough Police also investigated an assault near the Hot Spot Hotel and Lounge along North Grant Avenue in June.

During that incident, three local residents – Christina Bernd, Lester Bowser and Randi Gheen – were all charged.

Bernd and Bowser were both charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, while Gheen was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, as well as recklessly endangering another person.

Charges against Bowser have since been dropped while Bernd is awaiting a criminal status conference on her charges at the Armstrong County Courthouse.

I prefer to stay independent jorn. My phone erased some of my previous post. Those 2 were involved in an incident earlier this year there.
