Incumbent Republican Senator Don White will spend the next four years representing Armstrong County as State Senator after winning the election last night.
White, who has been in office since 2000, received more than 45,000 votes in Armstrong and Indiana County – more than 23,000 in Indiana and more than 22,000 in Armstrong.
Those vote totals vastly outmatched Democratic challenger Tony DeLoreto – who received more than a combined 17,200 votes – and USA Minutemen candidate Stanley Buggey (more than 3,700 votes).
DeLoreto – who owns Spaghetti Benders in Indiana – called it an “uphill battle,” despite personally visiting a few polling locations, due to the large number of local Republican voters and monetary support White received. More than 7,800 Armstrong County voters voted straight Republican Party candidates.
“I gave it a shot,” DeLoreto said. “(White) needed someone to run against him. He’s been running unopposed for too long. I have no regrets.”
DeLoreto called to congratulate White, but said White did not answer his call – to which DeLoreto text-messaged his congratulations.
DeLoreto isn’t ruling out a return to the Senate race in four years.

That’s Spaghetti Benders in Indiana.
Congratulations Don White. Let’s go finish SB76 and get it done so that Pennsylvanians can keep their paid-off homes.
