The 7-1 Armstrong River Hawks have strung together three wins in a row and this Friday they will travel to Connellsville to take on the 1-7 Falcons.

The River Hawks only have two games remaining in the regular season before they head to the playoffs. If the River Hawks win on Friday they will jump to first place in WPIAL 5A Big East Conference.

River Hawks running-back Zane Dudek has already broken the single season rushing yards record (excluding playoffs), the WPIAL single game rushing yards record, and the WPIAL single season touchdown record - and there are still two games remaining.

This week it will be possible for Dudek to break the single season rushing yards record - including playoffs, as he needs 312 more yards to eclipse the previous reacord (Zane averages 306.4 yards per-game rushing).

Connellsville is coming off yet another loss - their seventh straight, against Plum (1-6) 52-14. The Falcons have lost seven straight games and sit at 0-6 in the conference.

This season the Falcons have allowed a womping 40.9 points per game while only scoring 7 points per game offensively. Connellsville has been shut out in 4/8 of their games.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM and if you are unable to make it out to Connellsville you can always listen live on WTYM 1380 AM, the WTYM App, or WTYMradio.com.
