This week the Heritage Conferences’ fourth ranked team in West Shamokin (4-3) will travel to number three Homer Center (6-1) in a game with huge post-season implications.

The Wolves have only made the playoffs once in school history, so a big goal for all of Wolves’ players this year is making the post-season.

As it stands West Shamokin is in as the sixth seed in Division AA of District 6, but a win Friday could bump them all the way up to fourth (top eight teams make the playoffs).

Homer Center is coming off of their first loss of the season and it was a brutal one. The Wildcats were shut out by 7-0 Ligonier Valley losing 50-0 while allowing over 450 yards defensively.

Homer Center is a run heavy team lead by a duo of rushers in Montao Coleman and Jesse Lee along with a change of pace outside passing game.

Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM at Homer Center.
