Zane Dudek Breaks Record in Victory Over Plum
by Brandon Schrecengost
The Armstrong River Hawks put on a show against the Plum Mustangs in a 56-28 victory on the road. Zane Dudek in particular had a fantastic outing putting up 492 yards on the ground and 6 touchdowns. The 492 yards was enough for a WPIAL record in rushing. This game has put Dudek over 1,800 rushing this season.
The offensive line opened up plenty of holes for Dudek to get to the secondary, where Dudek was able to make the defensive backs miss the tackles multiple times. Micheal Lhote also had two touchdowns through the air. One to Ryan Pierce and one to Shawn Giddings.
The River Hawks will look to continue winning next week against Latrobe at home for Homecoming night. If you missed the game you can listen to the rebroadcast Saturday, October 1 at 10 AM on the WTYM app or at wtymradio.com. It will also air right on WTYM 1380 AM.
I was able to get a word in with Coach Fabian after the River Hawks impressive victory.
