The DeLuca Dome: West Shamokin Will Try and Make it Three Wins in a Row Against the Stingers

With two straight wins against Purchase Line and United the West Shamokin Wolves (2-2) will look to make it three wins in a row against the 0-4 Marion Center Stingers on Friday at 7:00 PM at Jack E. Boyer Field.

The West Shamokin Wolves may have started out slow at 0-2, but it isn’t how you start it is how you finish and West Shamokin hopes to finish their next game at home against Marion Center with a win, which would improve the Wolves to an above.500 record at 3-2.
During their two game win streak the Wolves rushing attack has been a force to be reckoned with as the team racked up 374 rushing yards against Purchase Line in their first win and 331 rushing yards against United last week.
The Wolves stable of running-backs seems to grow every game with Sophomore Dan Goldstrohm supplying West Shamokin with great carries up the middle and Jacob Szul and Denten Stubrich coming off their best games of the season against United. Those accomplishments were prefaced by QB Devin Fairman having his best game against Purchase line - right now everything seems to be clicking for the Wolves.
Their opponent Marion Center finds themselves at the bottom of the Heritage Conference standings as they are still searching for their first win of the season. The Stingers went the first three games of the season without scoring a touchdown - they scored their first points last week in a 50-27 loss to Purchase Line.
Along with the Stingers lackluster offense, Marion Center has allowed a total of 153 points so far this year or about 38 points per game. The Wolves on the other hand have only allowed 20 points per game in their first four played.
This weekend the West Shamokin Wolves who are ranked fourth in the Heritage Conference should be able to move up the standings if the offensive line and the Wolves pack of rushers can continue their success. The Wolves have getting better every week and with their balanced and unpredictable rushing attack that at times leaves the opponent clueless as to who will carry the ball should continue paying dividends and this Friday should be no different.
