OBIT: Marjorie L. Toy (West Kittanning)

Marjorie L. (Moore) Toy, 93, of West Kittanning, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA.

She was born in Kittanning on February 2, 1923, a daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Lasher) Moore. She formerly owned & operated Pounds Away in Manorville. She was a member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren. She loved her birds and gardening.

She is survived by her five grandchildren: Keri Bartosiewicz, Holly Ardeno, Brodie Toy, Britta Toy, and Charlie Toy; three great-grandchildren: Michael & Ryan Bartosiewicz, and Broc Toy; and daughter-in-law: Bambi Rush Toy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Plummer Toy, Sr.; two sons: Plummer Toy Jr. in 2016, and Charles Toy in 2003; and two brothers.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 and from 10AM until the time of a funeral service at 11AM on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning, with the Reverend Donald Peters officiating. Interment will be in the Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Center Hill Church of the Brethren.
