Property Tax Rebate Deadline Extended

Pennsylvania House of Representatives announced on June 6 that the 2015 Property Tax/Rent Rebate program is being extended from June 30 to December 31. Those who are eligible, including Pennsylvania residents 65 and older, widows and widowers 50 years or older, and those who are 18 or older with disabilities, may pick up copies of the forms and get assistance with filing them at Representative Eli Evankovich’s offices in Murrysville or Lower Burrell at no cost. Those who have already applied for rebates can check the state of their claims at www.revenue.pa.gov or by calling 1-888-PATAXES toll-free.
