Rural Valley Man Violated PFA, Jailed

Hilliard

A Rural Valley man was arraigned by a district magisterial judge and jailed during the weekend for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

According to Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Kittanning barracks, Bryan Hilliard, 32, arrived within 100 yards of a Cowanshannock Township residence Sunday morning after the order filed in May 2015 prevented him from doing so.

Hilliard was to keep 50 yards away from 69-year-old Ken Hilliard – also of Rural Valley – and at least 100 yards from the residence.

State police troopers said the two men also engaged in a verbal domestic altercation and Bryan verbally threatened Ken.

Bryan was arraigned by District Magisterial Judge Gary DeComo and incarcerated in the Armstrong County Jail on $10,000 monetary bond.
