According to Pennsylvania State Police troopers, the injuries occurred as a vehicle driven by Raymond Dougherty of Ford City attempted to cross over Route 422 from Glade Run Road in East Franklin Township when Dougherty pulled in front of Priscilla Dougherty’s 2012 Chevrolet Impala.
The Impala then slid into a farm tractor on the opposite side of the intersection.
Both vehicles sustained damage and had to be towed from the highway by Bowser Towing. The tractor also had to be towed by Garvin Towing.
Priscilla’s passenger, Jonathan Johns, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for further treatment, while Priscilla was treated at ACMH Hospital.
The other two drivers were not injured.
State Route 422 was fully closed for more than an hour as a result of the crash while East Franklin Township and Applewold firefighters, East Franklin Township police and Kittanning #6 Ambulance assisted Pennsylvania State Police troopers.
A pair of stop signs and a guide rail were damaged during the mid-afternoon incident.
