Route 85 Lane Restrictions Expected for Months
Plum Contracting is expected to replace Sunnyside Bridge #2 along Route 85 during the next seven months.
Lane restrictions controlled by temporary traffic signals were put in place yesterday along Route 85 for the Sunnyside Bridge #2 replacement and slide repair project in Valley Township.
The project includes the replacement of the structure carrying Route 85 over a tributary to Cowanshannock Creek with a box culvert. The project also addresses a slide in the immediate area of the structure.
The lane restriction will remain in place for the duration of the project.
This $3.08 million bridge replacement and slide repair project is being constructed by Plum Contracting, and is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials remind motorists to slow down and use caution in work zones, as well as to expect congestion and delays in high traffic volume periods. To overcome this inconvenience, officials recommend motorists allow extra time for your commute.
