Pleasant Weather Projected for Trail Activities in Apollo

Sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70’s are forecasted for tomorrow’s sixth-annual Earth Day Dash in Apollo.

Sponsored by the Roaring Run Watershed Association, the 5K Run/Walk and 15K Run event along the Roaring Run Trail attracted about 130 participants from the region as well as out-of-state.

Last-minute registration begins at 7:30AM tomorrow morning along the trail for $30, but T-shirts are not guaranteed for last-minute participants.

Online registration is closed.

Snacks and drinks will be available after the race for all registered runners and walkers.

The trail parking lot will be closed during the race until 2PM. All participants should park at the former Apollo Music Center along Clifford Avenue.

Participants will be bused to the trail beginning at 7:30AM.

Also along the Roaring Run trail this weekend will be the Spring Wildflower Walk.

Held 4PM Sunday, the free walk offers residents to cover about three miles of trail.

Interested participants should meet at the main trail pavilion. Reservations were not required.
