Radio Shack in Kittanning to Close by Mid-April

Franklin Village will lose another store in mid-April. Radio Shack will be closing its doors after filing in 2014 for bankruptcy.
Kittanning’s Radio Shack store in the Franklin Village will be closing by mid-April. The store is in the process of selling off merchandise as well as fixtures.
It is one of 1,784 stores that are closing due to the company’s recent filing for bankruptcy protection.
Two stores in Butler closed last year - at Butler Crossing and the Clearview Mall. Also on this list - Leechburg (Hyde Park)
In western Pennsylvania, Connellsville becomes the next store to be slashed, while stores in Indiana and Lower Burrell will stay open at this point, sources say.

I was treated so poorly there by an employee who yelled at me when trying to make a return after the holidays that I have NO sympathy for this store closing. So to the man that yelled at me that “he’s been working at this store for 21 years” when I questioned your absurd return policy…..good luck with that.

So, that’s Ponderosa, Trader horn and now Radio Shack. Went to radio Shack today for great 70% off - sorry to see them go. What outfit is next?

I think I have found something that all of us who post here can agree upon. That is that our county is bleeding to death. In addition the three businesses Jorn mentioned, look at how many have closed. Furniture World comes to mind. Plus some local buildings are constantly changing businesses. Go to the malls and notice how slow things are at many stores. I wish I had a solution, but I’m afraid I don’t have a clue. Sad
