A Manor Township couple will be celebrating Valentine’s Day one day early this year.
Chris and Cheri Goldinger of Mello Lane won the Kittanning Paper Valentine Dinner contest.
Cheri entered the contest on her own - but didn’t think her husband would mind!
She related the following Valentine story: “I remember 21 years ago I went to a valentine day wedding . My niece was getting married and I played the special music on the piano. After the wedding she threw the bouquet and I caught it. 4 days after I caught the bouquet I met my wonderful husband Chris for the first time. Chris and I have been married for almost 19 years now. I really believe God had his hand in me catching that bouquet. I had prayed for 9 years to meet someone special and he surely is just everything I prayed for.”
Cheri said the one thing she appreciated most about the Kittanning Paper was that it enabled her to keep up with local news.
The Goldingers will receive a certificate for two Sweetheart Dinners at the County Seat this Saturday. They will have their choice of Chicken Cordon Blu with Whipped Garlic Potatoes or Stuffed Steak with Rosemary Tossed Fries. The certificate is valued at $30.
Other entries received no prize, but had honorable mention.
