Kathryn L. Dixon, age 86, of Edgewater, Florida, died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice, Southeast Volusia Care Center.
Born in Smicksburg, Mrs. Dixon moved to the Edgewater area from Woodland. A former owner/operator of a beauty salon, she taught cosmetology at Votech in Clearfield for several years.
Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Edgewater Union Church and the Kings Daughters. She enjoyed life and traveling abroad.
Survivors include her son, Michael Dixon of Clearfield; two daughters: Barbara Elridge of Edgewater and Becky (Richard) Graham of Chesterton, IN; six grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Jennifer, Kelley, Lori and Laci; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Eugene Daugherty and sister-in-law, Pat Daugherty.
Mrs. Dixon is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Dixon; father, Carl Sloan Daugherty; mother, Audrey Mae McAninch Daugherty; brother, Jack Daugherty; and sister-in-law, Donna Daugherty.
