Classes Resume Today at IUP-Northpointe
While Armstrong School District students had a two-hour delay today before returning to class following the federal holiday, Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Northpointe students begin their Spring semester today.
Spring classes resume today at a local college campus.
Class will be back in session at Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Northpointe in Freeport.
Classes are regularly held Monday through Thursday
During the Fall semester, nearly a dozen IUP at Northpointe students with local ties made the Fall 2015 Dean’s List.
Those local students included:
Christina Atherton, an accounting major from Ford City, Stefany Barnett, a psychology major from Ford City, Angelo Cicolini, a computer science major from Freeport, Rachel Ebig, a communications media major from Kittanning, Benjamin Goforth, a business major from Worthington, Victoria Jones, a child development and family relations major from Freeport, Justin Kennedy, a business major from Kittanning, Maggie McCanna, a natural sciences major from Kittanning, Angela Wilsoncroft, an accounting major from Ford Cliff, and Kylie Lucas, a music major from Sarver.
Undergraduate students receive recognition on the Dean’s List for each semester in which they earn at least a 3.25 GPA, based on at least 12 credits of graded undergraduate coursework, or a combination of graded graduate and undergraduate course work.
This regional campus in Armstrong County enables students to receive a university education while commuting, thereby greatly reducing the cost (and loan debt) of their education.
Students may start more than 130 undergraduate programs at IUP and may earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees entirely on the Northpointe campus.
