OBIT: William R. Sikora (Worthington)
William R. Sikora, 80, of Worthington, died Monday, September 28, 2015, in ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township.
He was born January 8, 1935 in Freeport to Charles and Anna (Witek) Sikora.
William was alifelong resident of the area who retired from Pullman-Standard/Trinity Industries in Butler.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Cadogan, a lifetime member of Buffalo Valley Beagle and Sportsman Club and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 896 in Kittanning and #88 in Ford City, as well as the Latin American Club in Ford City.
William enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and his friends of all ages.
William is survived by daughter, Susan Blackwell (and husband, Robert), of Pickerington, Ohio; son, William C. Sikora (and wife, Cheryl), of Groveport, Ohio; five grandchildren: Jeanna Feyh (husband, Ryan), Derek Blackwell, Heather Blackwell, Billy Sikora Jr. and Chloe Sikora; sister, Agnes Farster, of Altoona; several sisters- and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many friends, who called him Uncle Bill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 45 years, Jean Sikora; four brothers and five sisters.
Friends will be received from 5-8PM tomorrow - Wednesday, September 30, 2015 - at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.
Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until time time of the funeral service at 11AM Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the funeral home.
Father Alan Grote will be officiating.
Interment will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
