John J. “Jack” Turek, Jr., 75, of Ford City died on September 11, 2015 at the Kittanning Care Center.
He was born in Cadogan on June 27, 1940, a son of John and June (Kunkle) Turek.
Jack was retired from Allegheny Ludlum in Vandergrift where he worked as an inspector on the pickle line.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Cadogan.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, watching his grandchildren in their various sports, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Shelvy Walker Turek whom he married on October 23, 1963; a son: Robert (Missy) Turek of Ford City; and two grandchildren: Lexi Turek and Dalton Turek.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, September 14, 2015 in the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10AM with Father John Harold as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Crooked Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.
