Suspected Ford City Burglar Out of Jail

A young man suspecting of stealing from a Manor Township residence is out of jail after a court date yesterday.

On July 16th, at approximately 2AM, Chad Michael Cornman, 19, of Ford City was accused of entering a shed in Manor Township and removing a 2004 Yamaha Raptor ATV and taking it to his residence. The arresting officer, Trooper Keith J. Sobecki of the Pennsylvania State Police, took Cornman into custody.

He was being held on $25,000 bail in the Armstrong County Jail after being arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Gary DeComo July 28.

Cornman – charged with three felony crimes including conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property – was released on his own recognizance yesterday during his scheduled preliminary hearing before Judge DeComo.

Cornman waived the preliminary hearing. No other court appearances have yet been scheduled.
