OBIT: Charles “Charlie” LaVerne Brunner (Cowansville)

Charles “Charlie” LaVerne Brunner, 79 of Cowansville, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at ACMH Hospital.

He was born December 1, 1936 in Cowansville to the late-Earl and Thelma (Crawford) Brunner.

Charlie retired in 1982 from Pullman Standard in Butler.

Of the Methodist Faith, Charlie enjoyed helping in the body shop, was a body man for CB Radios, loved country music and spending time with his family.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret “Marty” (Anderson) Brunner of Cowansville; daughter, Rose Brunner-Fohl and husband, George, of Butler; son, Robert “Dusty” Brunner of Cowansville; grandson, Douglas Nichols and wife, Bethany, of Butler; great-grandson, Landen Nichols of Butler; three sisters: Margaret Confer and husband, Larry, of Cowansville, Rose Townsend and husband, Lyle of East Brady and Martha Jones of Kittanning; and brother, George Brunner of Cowansville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Paul Brunner; brother, Paul Brunner; and sister, Mary Ann Brunner.

Private viewing and services will be held, with arrangements entrusted to Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.
