OBIT: James Schuey (Kittanning)
James Felix Schuey, 71, of Kittanning, died on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born in Kittanning on June 18, 1943, a son of Felix “Sonny” Schuey and Mary “Betty” (Fulkman) Schuey.
He was retired as a laborer at Agway. He also drove for Barker Bus. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian. He enjoyed traveling and spending weekends at camp in Cooks Forest. He also enjoyed spending time with family.
Jim is survived by his wife: Janet (McAuley) Schuey; two sons: David “Chris” Schuey and wife Karen from Kittanning, and Clint Schuey and wife Jackie from Kittanning; daughter-in-law Tammy Schuey from Kittanning; grandchildren: Stacey, Tawnya, Randy, Zack, Travis, Sarah, and Logan; great-grandchildren: Dillon, Karissa, Morgan, Kayden, Anthony, Ethan, and Ezra; sister: Susan Smith and husband Russell of Greensboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: James Frank Schuey; and grandson: James Frank Schuey, Jr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian, with one hour of additional viewing prior to the service in the church. Pastor Arlyn Eisenbrandt will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Mark’s Church in Jim’s memory.
