OBIT: Ruby A. Fair (Butler)

Ruby A. Fair, 79 of Butler, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 13, 2012 while at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born October 9, 1933 in East Brady to James and Helen Viola (Waite) Wiles.

Ruby and her husband Donald of 56 years were some of the founding owners of Country Paradise Park in East Brady. She also worked at the Honey Bear in Butler and for several years at her daughter Sue’s daycare in Butler.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Community Church.

Ruby was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys football fan, and enjoyed going to the casinos.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters: Susan (George) Bowser and Rita (Dan) Winger, both of Butler; three sons: Edward (Lin) Fair of Butler, Dean (Crystal) Fair of Meadville and John (Karen) Fair of Mascoutah, Ill.; twin sister, Ruth Fair of East Brady; two brothers: Elmer Wiles of Doylestown, Pa. and Robert (Becky) Wiles of Warren, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jessica Fair; an infant grandson; sister, Helen Wiles; brother-in-law, Dave Fair; and sister-in-law, Jewel Wiles.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM today, Friday, December 14, 2012, at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.

Additional visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM tomorrow, Saturday, December 15, 2012, at St. Paul’s Community Church, 2167 State Rt. 268, Chicora, PA 16025.

The Rev. Randall J. Forester will officiate.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
