Johnny Cash's sister, Joanne, will headline a local concert in September sponsored by WTYM AM 1380 radio.
Joanne Cash Yates, sister of the famous Nashville vocalist Johnny Cash, has confirmed she will appear at the WTYM Country Jam slated for Saturday September 8, 2012.
Following Johnny’s death, Joanne has continued an active touring schedule.
“I look forward to being in Kittanning again and seeing all my friends,” she said while accepting the invitation from WTYM event coordinators.
Yates, along with her husband Dr. Harry Yates and a full band, appear every Sunday morning at the Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville, located directly across from Opryland.
Yates will follow local talent in WTYM’s first outdoor concert event.
