Community Leaders Plot Traffic Concerns

Approximately 20 local business, non-profit and Kittanning community leaders helped engineers plan for a 2013 transportation study last night.

At the first of many Community Stakeholder Committee Meetings, the leaders were asked to plot on Kittanning maps the places they walked or drove the most, as well as their sections of town of most concern.

Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP architects also received crash data from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, but wanted data from local residents before using money from a $300,000 grant for the traffic study.

Public residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting about such study from 6-8PM May 22 in the Armstrong County Commissioners’ Conference Room.

The Kittanning Paper attended the meeting and will report on responses in Monday’s edition.

One question. Will someone please just answer this??

HOW MUCH IS TOTAL COST FOR THIS NEW SCHOOL???

Not in pieces but total cost. We knew every dime being spent on the renovation projects including the payment schedule!! Where is the total cost now?? Why aren’t people demanding this? I am!! Nothing should be voted on without this revealed! I don’t want to hear garbage about we will use current athletic facilities I don’t want to hear this land was donated. I want to know total cost!! Before the vote!

Kittanning Paper, Leader Times, Indiana Gazette, Don White, Jeff Pyle, Snyders, ACMH Board, Randy Cloak, oh and your puppets on the school board…. TELL US NOW!!

Again total cost. And include the loss of revenue and subsidies from South Bend as well as all money paid to the architects. That means the millions we owe them on stopped renovation projects and the millions they’re getting on this project too

Again…. TOTAL COST! Not this $59 million partial cost. Where’s the excavation, athletics, everything? Tell us and lay out the payment plan now!
