OBIT: Andreana C. “Ann” Kerner (Dayton)

Andrena C. “Ann” Kerner, 92, of Dayton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, in Indiana, Pa.

She was born November 7, 1918 in Yatesboro to Richard and Margaret (Brandt) Tregaskes.

Ann was a 1936 graduate of Rural Valley High School and lived in Dayton most of her life. She was a dedicated member of Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church. When she was able, Ann loved reading and going on walks, and was often seen walking around Dayton. She devoted her life to caring for her family and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Linda L. Kiehl and husband Casper “Jerry”, of Blairsville, PA and Donna J. Cooper and husband John “Ron”, of Shelocta, PA; grandchildren, Brian J. Cooper and wife Crissy, Allen L. Cooper, David S. Kiehl and wife Kathleen, and Susannah M. Kiehl; and great-grandchildren, Brandon L. Cooper, Jacob A. Cooper, Leanne M. Cooper, Julia D. Cooper, and Madeleine E. Kiehl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gerald McIntire, who died June 14, 1975; second husband, Wilbert Kerner, who died May 16, 1990; brothers, Russell, Richard, Wilbert, David, and Frederick Tregaskes; and sister, Mary Reefer.

Friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, Inc. in Dayton, where funeral services will be held on at 11 AM on Friday, September 30, 2011 with Rev. Laurie Milligan officiating.

Interment will be at Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery in Wayne Township.

Memorial contributions may be given in her honor to Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 2540 Dayton Smicksburg Road, Dayton, PA 16222.
