OBIT: Harry “Tom” Lloyd (Ford City)

Harry Thomas “Tom” Lloyd, 64, of Ford City, died Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the VAMC in Aspinwall.

He was born on June 26, 1951 in Kittanning, the son of the late Carl T. and Ethel (Delp) Lloyd.

Tom proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Crooked Creek United Presbyterian Church and the Lancaster VFW. He worked for Babcock and Wilcox, Allegheny Ford and was a former truck driver. Tom enjoyed cars, watching football and golf and walking his dog “Tico”.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Hankey) Lloyd, of Ford City; two sisters, Lu Ann (David) McGuire, of Apollo, and Linda Sybert, of Kittanning; a stepson, Ed Shotts, of Lancaster; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Colleen Lloyd; and his daughter, Amanda.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 11AM Wednesday with the Reverend Laurie Milligan officiating. Interment will be private.
