David Merle Walker, born in Kittanning, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 of heart failure.
He was born on December 13, 1948 in Kittanning to Garnet and Merle Walker.
David graduated from Kittanning High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after his graduation. He served as a Field Medical Services Technician overseas for eight years.
David settled in Springfield, OR after serving in the Navy and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sacred Heart Hospital for 23 years.
He was an accomplished marksman and enjoyed playing golf, photography, and looked forward to the football season on television.
David married his wife, Janet in 1994 at the Ponderosa Ranch in Incline Village, NV.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Walker of Springfield; sister Linda Claypoole of Kittanning; brother Robert Febinger of Kittanning; and sister Pam Harris of East Brady.
Arrangements were entrusted to Springfield Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene, OR.
