Shortly after Noon on June 22, Sgt. William Evans of the East Franklin Twp. Police Dept was traveling South on Wible road when he observed a pink cloud in the air. Further investigation did discover two cases of pink line paint along with several covers for water and gas observation covers that go on the highway. On Wible Road, one of the covers did puncture the cases of paint causing the pink plume in the air. The entire drivers side of a Kia SUV was pink from the incident occurring as the two vehicles pass, the operator did describe the vehicle as a white possibly a utility truck or a pickup. Evans removed the heavy steel covers from the roadway and the remaining cans of paint from the roadway, before any other vehicles became damaged, And did check with the gas well contractors, the K.S.J.W.A. and the P J Greco Salvage yard along with Kittanning P.D. checking with the utility companies with negative results, Any person who may have seen this incident is asked to contact East Franklin Twp.
