6/12/1968 – More than 2,000 people visited Armstrong County’s first commercial-industrial exhibition last night at Bel-Mont Arena. The three-day exhibit opened yesterday afternoon with a ribbon cutting by commissioners and the Jaycees’ Miss Armstrong County Suzanne Huffmyer.
6/12/1968 – The FCC approved an application of Jud, Inc. to construct and operate a new television station, channel 25, in West Palm Beach, FL. Jud, Inc. is the owner of Armstrong Utility and Armstrong Telelee, Inc. The Florida venture will be governed by the home office located in the Sedwick Building at 219 North McKean Street, Kittanning. The company is controlled by the Huv L. Sedwick family.

6/12/1958 - Last year’s farm receipts in Armstrong County were estimated at $6,500,000 by the Pennsylvania June Dairy Month Committee and Bureau of Crop Reporting. Of this total, $3,015,000 came in from the sale of milk and milk products, a sum almost double the next highest farm income category, livestock.
