East Franklin Township Police Chief William Evans was dispatched yesterday for a two-vehicle accident on Franklin Hill.
A 2004 Chevrolet owned and operated by Elinor J. Hawk of Kittanning was traveling south on Route 268. While traveling up a hill, the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2013 GMC 2500 pickup owned and operated by Tyler S. Wensel of Kittanning that was traveling down the hill.
There was extensive damage to both vehicles.
East Franklin Township Fire Department assisted in extricating Mrs. Hawk from the vehicle. She was transported to ACMH Hospital by Kittanning Hose Co. #6 Ambulance Service.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:22 AM.
