Ken Polka from Vandergrift takes a picture on his cell phone of his granddaughters, 8-year-old Jayda and 4-year-old Layla, as they sit with Santa at a special photo session hosted by ACMH Hospital for their staff and families.
The second floor hallway at ACMH Hospital was filled with hundreds of children and their families who stood in line to be photographed with Santa Claus.

Paile Townsend from Natrona Heights observes as her son, 2-year-old Liam Cogley, decorates a cookie. They participated in the ACMH-sponsored holiday event since Paile’s mother, Roxanne Townsend, is an ACMH employee.
ACMH Marketing Supervisor Tim Lehner explained the reason for the event.
“ACMH Hospital is hosting all the employees’ children, grandchildren, and any loved ones to come and visit Santa and have their photograph taken with him. The day’s event was the idea of the executive team and our administration to give back to the employees and provide a fun and exciting afternoon for the children and employees alike.”
Lehner said 90 children were pre-registered for the event, but it exceeded their expectations. The fun extended over into the ACMH Cafeteria with additional activities.
“We also included cookie decorating and some activities for the children,” Lehner said.
A special photo booth captured the children sitting with Santa. In addition to several poses being printed out immediately to the joy of the parents, a digital photograph was also sent via text messaging to the parents’ cell phone.
