West Shamokin Football Rolls by United on Homecoming

After suffering back to back losses, the West Shamokin Wolves varsity football team bounced back in a big way - defeating the United Lions 51-12 on the Wolves homecoming night.

The Wolves would take a 22-6 lead into halftime after touchdown runs from Jacob Szul and Bryce McClafferty as well as a 41 yard touchdown reception from Tyler Lightcap to Szul.

In the second half, the Wolves kept things rolling, scoring another 29 points to get the 51-12 win.

West Shamokin quarterback Tyler Lightcap finished with a perfect game - going 8/8 for 179 yards, 4 touchdowns and a pair of 2 point conversions.

With this win West Shamokin moves back to .500 on the year with a 2-2 record. Next up for the Wolves is a road trip to Marion Center, the school that Tyler Lightcap use to play for before transferring to West Shamokin.

Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM at Marion Center.
