The Kittanning Paper has verified portions of a WPXI news report aired last night.
WPXI Channel 11 News in Pittsburgh reported that a male teacher was removed from Armstrong Junior-Senior High School last month after district leaders learned he is under investigation for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a female student.
Manor Township Police Chief Eric Petrosky did confirm that an investigation is underway at the school, but will not comment further due to the “sensitivity of the issue.”
Police or county investigators have not yet filed charges.
WPXI identified an anonymous source who said the teacher was removed from a classroom at the high school in Manor Township on January 18, minutes after the district learned of the investigation.
Armstrong School District board directors meet at 7:30PM Thursday during their open caucus session at West Hills Intermediate School.
