Craigsville Man Injured while Working on Truck

Firefighters and emergency medical personnel prepare a landing zone to send an injured Craigsville man to UPMC Presybterian Hospital via a STAT MedEvac helicopter.

A West Franklin Township man was flown to a regional hospital following an accident that happened while working on his vehicle.

According to Worthington-West Franklin and East Franklin Township fire department volunteers on-scene, an unidentified male was making repairs to his pick-up truck at a residence along Hindman Hill Road in Craigsville at about 6:30PM last night when the truck suddenly fell onto his chest and right arm.

Ford City emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and reported to emergency dispatchers that the male was conscious and alert, but was in a great deal of pain.

After a landing zone was set up along the roadway, the unidentified male was flown by STAT MedEvac to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
