Local police agencies were on the lookout for a male with a gun last night near Kittanning.

At about 8:45PM, an incident occurred in the parking lot of the Armstrong County Health Center along South McKean Street in Kittanning Borough.

Kittanning Borough Police Officer Kyle Lewis said the investigation is ongoing.

“Right now, all we know is there was a domestic dispute in the parking lot between a female and her spouse. No other details about the fight or why it occurred,” Officer Lewis said. “During that time, the male brandished a firearm and then left the scene.

“It’s still under investigation.”

The female was reportedly not injured in the dispute, nor were any health center residents inside the facility.

“She’s safe,” Officer Lewis confirmed.

Armstrong 9-1-1 reported the male’s identification to local police.

Coincidentally, the Armstrong County Health Center will undergo a disaster drill Monday evening from 6-9PM.

“The goal of this training is to improve our ability to protect residents, save lives and reduce injuries,” a notice outside the health center reads. “Access to the Health Center during the drill may be difficult due to emergency vehicles blocking the streets.”
