Venango Passenger Dies in Highway Crash

A Venango County woman was pronounced dead following a motorcycle accident in Butler County Wednesday evening.

At about 6PM, Raegan Phenicie, 42 of Franklin, was the passenger of a 2012 orange Harley Davidson driven by Donald Phenicie traveling south on William Flynn Highway in Slippery Rock Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police troopers out of Butler, Donald attempted to slow the motorcycle after approaching stopped vehicles, but lost control of the bike.

Both were thrown from the motorcycle, and neither were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said in a news release.

This is another reason to wear a helmet. Every time I see people not wearing a helmet while riding a motor cycle I wonder where their brains are at.
