Owner Nick Nolte denied rumors Thursday that a sale was pending on his property in downtown Kittanning. Nolte called the WTYM AM 1380 radio show “David & Friends” to address the rumor.
If you heard that the Nolte Motors building was sold - squelch the rumor!
According to owner Nick Nolte, the building at the corner of Jacob and South Jefferson Street in downtown Kittanning is not on the open market at this time.
“People are making assumptions,” Nolte said when he called the WTYM radio morning show Thursday morning. When asked if he was going to sell it, Nolte responded, “No, not right now.”
Nolte did say that there has been some speculation.
“I’ve had people tell me that there are other people interested, but I have not offered it to anyone at any price. I was told that somebody came in and said, ‘Oh yeah, it’s sold,’ and that somebody was going to buy it. It’s a rumor mill!”
Nolte told talk show host David Croyle that he was concerned that such rumors would create roadblocks for future options he may have to sell the property.
“Someone is going to come back and say they were interested in that, but I heard that it is sold, so now I am not! That rumor is out there now and you can’t take it back.”
Rumors began to fly as Nolte began experiencing health problems over the past two years. He took the opportunity on the radio show to thank the public for their concern.
“I appreciate everybody’s concern and I appreciate all the people praying for me. I’m very thankful for that.”
