OBIT: Kerry M. McAfoose (Kittanning)
Kerry M. McAfoose, age 65, of Kittanning, PA died Wednesday, February 3, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on May 27, 1950, in Kittanning, to Lester M. and Charlotte Romaine (Slagle) McAfoose Ronallo.
Kerry was a lifetime resident of the Troy Hill area of Kittanning and was previously employed by Penn Allegheny Coal Company where he worked as a coal miner.
He was a member of the Kittanning Men’s Club, Kittanning Eagles, and Kittanning Moose.
He enjoyed going to camp and hunting and fishing.
Kerry is survived by a step-daughter, Georgia L. Border and husband, Dennis; six grandchildren; one brother, Dennis McAfoose of Templeton; and two sisters: Lyndal Silvis of Kittanning, and Denise Nulph and husband, Randall of Climax, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mona E. (Laird) McAfoose whom he married June 27, 1975, and who died November 26, 2011.
Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery in Rayburn Township.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
