OBIT: Clarence R. “Butch” Toy (Kittanning)
Clarence R. “Butch” Toy, 72 of Kittanning, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Ford City.
He was born May 9, 1943 in Kittanning to Clarence “Ted” and Florence (Wasson) Toy.
A lifelong community resident, “Butch” formerly worked at Pullman Standard, the County of Armstrong and Maintenance in Rayburn Township.
He was a member of the Kittanning Eagles, Kittanning Men’s Club and the Kittanning Moose.
“Butch” enjoyed hunting, fishing, drinking beer and spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters: Robin Hosteller (Brian) of Fort Lee, Va. and Susan Toy Heilman of Kittanning; three grandsons: Dylan Toy, Alex Toy and Lucas Toy – all of Kittanning; two granddaughters: Emily Hosteller and Ashleyn Hosteller of Fort Lee, Va.; two sisters: Goldie McElroy (Paul) of East Brady and Phyllis McGrew (William) of Cowansville; and brother, Melvin Toy (Diane) of Rural Valley.
“Butch” was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Elaine (Corbett) Toy; infant son, Donald A. Toy; and sister, Vera (Toy) Bernard.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
Additional viewing will be held from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM Monday, December 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
A funeral luncheon will be served after the service at the Kittanning Eagles.
Interment will be in Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
