OBIT: Catherine Mylissa (McAfoose) Croyle (East Brady)

Catherine Mylissa (McAfoose) Croyle, 89, of East Brady, died Sunday, September 27, 2015, at home.

She was born July 17, 1926, in Kaylor, to Orrie and Nora (Crissman) McAfoose.

Catherine was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church in Adrian.

Catherine was always a housewife and a very good mother. She loved to play Bingo and was known for her crafts, bread pudding and angel food cakes.

She is survived by her three sons: Maurice “Mouse” Croyle (and wife Nancy), of Cowansville, Garry Croyle (and girlfriend, Debbie), of Kittanning, and Jim Croyle (and wife Karen), of Ford City; daughter, Nora Yount (Bill Boyer), of Kittanning; nine grandchildren: Shawn Yount, Michelle Beck, Everett Croyle, Heidi Gahagan, Penny Croyle, Chester Croyle, Beth Deitz, Bonnie Croyle and Charles Croyle; sister, Irene Bowser, of Worthington; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lucinda; son, Chester; three brothers: Clarence, Raymond and Chester McAfoose; sister Rosy Snyder; and two great-grandsons.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM today - Tuesday, September 29, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.

Additional visitation will be offered and from 11AM until the time of services at 1PM tomorrow - Wednesday, September 30, 2015 - at the funeral home.

The Rev. Robert French will be officiating.

Interment will be in Brush Valley Brethren Church Cemetery.
