OBIT: Mae Belle Bowser (Shelocta)

Mae Belle Bowser, 89 of Shelocta, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her residence.

She was born February 28, 1926 to Merle A. and Willa R. (Wray) Mohney.

She worked for ACMH for 27 years and then at Trader Horn in Kittanning, where she retired from in 2014.

Mae was a devoted member of the Alliance Church in Kittanning, and belonged to the Kittanning Hose Company #6 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Joseph A. (Linda) Skursky of Shelocta; stepson, William (Margaret) Bowser of Youngstown, Ohio; two step-daughters: Laura McElfresh of Manorville and Mary Lou Stewart of Kittanning; two grandsons: Joseph (Amy) Skursky of Kittanning and Jeffrey (Patti) Skursky of Shelocta; four great-grandchildren; Joey (Sallieanne) Skursky, Shaina Skursky, Jeffrey Skursky and Amanda Skursky; great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Skursky; and several nieces and nephews.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Joseph Skursky, in 1980; second husband, Harry R. Bowser, in 1983; brother, Merle Mohney II; and step-daughter, Dorothy Simpson.

Friends will be received from 2PM until the time of the funeral service at 6PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.

The Rev. Mark Applebee will officiate.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
