Three area Walmart stores were either robbed or the site of attempted robberies during the afternoon of Thursday, August 14. Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning allege 24 year old Alyssa Depanicis of Vandergrfit and 38 year old Larry Davis II of Leechburg took shaving razor blades, electronic screen protectors and other store merchandise from Walmart in the Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township. Police say the pair then traveled to the Harrison Township Walmart and attempted to steal merchandise valued at over $2,206. They fled the store without the items. They then traveled on to the Frazier Township Walmart and are alleged to have attempted to take store merchandise valued at more than $2,000 before being stopped by Police in the store. Depanicis and Davis were arrested, charged with retail theft and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Owen. Both were placed in the Armstrong County Jail.
