OBIT: Tim Lloyd, Jr. (formerly of Ford City)

Tim Thomas Lloyd, Jr., 67, of Lebanon, Ohio (formerly of Ford City) died on December 11, 2010 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born in Ford City on June 20, 1943. He lived 20 years in the Ford City area and 37 years in Lebanon, Ohio. He was a son of Thomas Lloyd, Sr., and Sarah (Peters) Lloyd.

He was a power lineman for Cincinnati Gas and Electric. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam conflict. He retired with 27 distinguishing years of service.

He was a member of the Countryside Community Church of the Nazarene and a lifelong member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association, Air Force Sergeants Association, and the Warren County Conservation Center.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jodi “Esther” (Metzger) Lloyd of Lebanon, Ohio; a son: Damon (Tonya) Lloyd of Lebanon, Ohio; two granddaughters: Jesika and Jennifer; one great granddaughter Shiann and one great-grandson Matthew – all of Lebanon, Ohio. He is also survived by a brother Richard (Taffie) Lloyd of Ford City; three sisters: Pat (Don) Goldinger, Barbara Tucker, and Karen (Bob) Bravers – all of Kittanning; in addition to aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Susan Smith; a brother Kirk Lloyd; and two grandsons: Jamie Matthew and Nolan Lloyd.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Kennedy-Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM with additional viewing from 10AM until the time of the service. His church pastor, Lester Jones, will officiate the service. Interment will take place in the Ford City Cemetery.
