West Shamokin Grads Awarded Scholarships
Austin Porter and Chayce Cockroft, both of West Shamokin Jr/Sr High School, were this year’s recipients of the Kittanning Rotary Club annual $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. Students in the Armstrong School District competed by writing essays on what the principal motto of Rotary, “Service Above Self”, means to them. The scholarships wee awarded at the Kittanning Rotary’s meeting on June 15, 2015.
