OBIT: Livia M. Dorazio (Kittanning)

Livia Marie Dorazio, 94, of Kittanning died on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

She was born on June 26, 1921 in Ramseytown, PA, the daughter of Vitale Roncher and Anna Pizzedza Roncher. She was a lifelong resident of the community.

She was married to Nick J. Dorazio, who died on October 29, 2002.

She worked at various places in Kittanning including Montgomery Ward and Shop-N-Save.

She was a proud member of St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning all of her life. She was a member of the Choir, and also the Catholic Daughters of America, where she held the position of Treasurer for many years. She was a volunteer for the ACMH Auxiliary. However, Livia considered the biggest accomplishment of her life was being a parent and raising a fine family.

She is survived by her sons: Nicholas Dorazio of Kittanning, Victor Dorazio of Wexford, and Sidney (Carolyn) Dorazio of Wexford; daughters: Rozanne (James) Hansotte of Glenshaw, Carole (Rudy) Zendri of St. Marys, PA; and grandchildren: Eric, Lisa, Sherri, Michelle, Nicole, Danielle, Alexander, and Cameron; six great-grandchildren; and sister: Genevieve Forsythe of Kittanning.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Arthur Roncher, Louis Roncher, and William Roncher; and sisters: Elda Williams, Lena Caprini, and Edith Ambrosini.

Friends will be welcomed to call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 10AM at St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning, with Father Douglas Dorula celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
