OBIT: James C. DeLancey (Kittanning)

James C. DeLancey, 79 of Kittanning, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside surrounded by his family.

He was born November 30, 1935 in Kittanning to Ray and Martha (Walker) DeLancey.

James worked for PennDOT and then drove truck before retiring as a construction consultant.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and the Tractor Club.

His hobbies included showing antique garden tractors and his pickup truck in car shows. James never missed the Dayton Fair in his 79 years, and had a great sense of humor.

James is survived by his four children: Douglas (and Denise) DeLancey, Cheryl (and Craig) Pavlik, Debra (and David) Jeffcoat and Tracy (and Carl) Beck; nine grandchildren: Jay, Summer, Regina, Trista, Rochelle, Drew, Megan, Brandt and Tyler; and six great-grandchildren: Kristopher, Elijah, Emma, Brock, Ocean and Ashlyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores (Cornman) DeLancey on July 18, 2014; brother, Robert DeLancey; and infant sister, Sarah DeLancey.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Wednesday, February 25, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, 1433 State Route 28-66 in Templeton (Boggs Township).

The Rev. David Murphy will be officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
